This week, the elves are heading back to Dunder Mifflin for a little Christmas déjà vu! We know we’ve already talked about The Office‘s Christmas episodes, but now we’re diving into the extended editions, and we think you know these elves aren’t complaining about talking the Office.

Anthony, Julia, and Thom kick things off with “Christmas Party”, the Season 2 classic featuring Michael’s disastrous Secret Santa, an iPod, a teapot, Yankee Swap (or Dirty Santa, or whatever you call it where you live), and one very memorable Christmas card. Then it’s off to “Moroccan Christmas,” where Phyllis takes control of the Party Planning Committee, Meredith catches fire, Dwight sells Princess Unicorn dolls, and Angela’s carefully guarded secret threatens to become very public knowledge.

But this time, we’re not just talking about the episodes we already know and love. We’re digging into the extended and deleted scenes, the little character moments that got left on the cutting-room floor, and all the extra bits that somehow make these episodes feel even more like Christmas.

This week, Julia and Anthony discuss the extended “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” Christmas episode (released as a standalone DVD back in 2009 before airing in two parts on television to cap off Season 6), “A Very Sunny Christmas“!

For anyone familiar with this show, this should go without saying, but this episode contains language that could be considered offensive, as well as a lot of swearing – in the context of quoting the special. And that warning alone should give you an idea of what Julia thought of this show, which she has never seen before! Is Anthony a fan though? You’ll have to tune in to find out! Even if he is though, whether or not this episode has a Linus moment or is a bonafide holiday hit is another question!

Regardless of their answer, though, it certainly feels like the type of cozy film TNT or USA would play around Thanksgiving!

Happy Monday, Christmas Fanatics! And Happy Easter season! The elves are back together at last, reunited and basking in the Christmas spirit after a brief hiatus, and this week all three of them are here: Julia, Anthony, and your guest host for the evening, Thom!

Before diving into the main event, the crew catches up on all things post-Easter, including the Artemis mission, “Project Hail Mary’s” pop culture moment, the upcoming Stephen Colbert ”Lord of the Rings” project, therapy rabbits at the Easter egg hunt, the Flemish Giant bunnies that stole the show, and a spirited debate about Chuck E. Cheese tokens on eBay. Anthony has, as always, been to the movies constantly. And somehow, the elves manage to discover that one of them has never once set foot inside a Chuck E. Cheese.

Then it’s time for the main event: the 2025 Chuck E. Cheese Christmas special on Amazon! Not to be confused with the one from the 80s. It’s 50 minutes of familiar late-90s/early-2000s animation style, a Tolkien-referencing villain, a surprisingly chic Mrs. Claus, a surprise party for Santa, and a dog who is surprisingly well-connected (but not that well-connected). Will this long-dormant franchise’s animated holiday outing earn a spot in your seasonal rotation? The elves have thoughts. Some of them are generous.
