About this Podcast
Launched in April of 2020, Holly Jolly X’masu explores the world of Japanese Christmas music. You’ll get to hear a wide variety of Christmas music, most of which is unheard of outside of Japan, and some of which is obscure and rarely heard even in Japan. Taken from host Scott Leopold’s growing collection of CD and Vinyl, a lot of the music played on the show can’t be heard anywhere else. You’ll also hear the stories behind the bands and some of the songs, as well as a bit about the history and traditions of Christmas in Japan. Listen in on the 25th of each month and discover some of the best Christmas music you’ve never heard.
