Episode 165: Die Hard with a Vengeance

We have a tradition around here of spending our holiday break covering films other than Christmas films. So what better way to celebrate July at Christmas than with the best action movie of 1995? That’s right, tonight we’re discussing Die Hard with a Vengeance!

You know the drill: In the next few hours, Simon is going to tell Lt. John McClane what to do. And Lt. McClane is going to do it. That’s what the trailers say, at least. In truth, Hans Gruber’s little brother is out for revenge against our old buddy John, who’s just trying to kick a nasty hangover in the Big Apple. Along the way he teams up with Samuel L. Jackson, who wants absolutely nothing to do with him. It’s great.

So crack open a cold one, pull up a chair and join your holiday broskis as we chat about Die Hard, pinball machines, New York landmarks, and all the other random crap this podcast is known for! And, of course, we wish all of you a Very Happy New Year!

Today’s special holiday show is a recording of our first live show at Duke’s Alehouse in Crystal Lake, IL.  We want to thank Mike and Rusty from the “Snow in Southtown” podcast for letting us use their Vista Blue song “Crystal Lake”!  It was a great crowd opener and perfect for our host city.

In fact, you will hear us thank all of our friends and family, guests and our host location in this episode for their incredible support.  However, we’d also like to do a shout out to our brethren on the Christmas Podcast Network.  These are the other shows who, like us, are discussing and enjoying Christmas most of the year.  You should listen to them all, if you want to lift your spirits and make the year a little more fun, no matter the season or month.

In fact, you will hear us thank all of our friends and family, guests and our host location in this episode for their incredible support.  However, we’d also like to do a shout out to our brethren of the Christmas podcast network.  These are the other shows who, like us, are discussing and enjoying Christmas most of the year.  We would advise you to listen to all of them to lift your spirits and make the year a little more fun, no matter the season or month.
