Our Halloween Horror Marathon returns, and my old Body Count Horror Podcast co-host Christopher joins me to review Disconnected (1984). We also revisit candy and cereal fantasy drafts that we did in 2017. At the last minute, we decided to stream this episode live on Prankcast and were joined by a bunch of friends in the chat. It was a lot of fun!
Also, visit our blog to follow along with all the horror films we’ll be watching from now until Halloween. We hope to be back with another horror episode in October and may livestream again!
We’re celebrating Leon Day and the 4th of July with episodes of Workaholics and Saved by the Bell. There is also a Belinda Carlisle song and some Saved by the Bell trivia.

It’s Easter, and we’re here to discuss The First Easter Rabbit (1976), other Easter movies/specials, candy, and Cracker Barrel. We also say goodbye to Skype!
We’re planning episodes for May and June, so we’ll be back soon.
Also, you can hear us on the latest episode of the Totally Rad Christmas Podcast, accepting an award for the best 2024 episode covering a special where someone is in a trash can (or something like that!)
Throughout 2024 we kept up with Rusty’s progress on his 50-year project, where he spent the whole year writing and recording FIFTY songs, one for each year of his life. At the end of the livestream for the final episode of the season last month, we debuted this song that he wrote about our podcast for the 2019 track.
Today is Rusty’s birthday, and you can grab all 50 tracks here!
Thanks again to everyone who came to hang out with us for our livestream! This wraps up our ’70s season. Reach out with any feedback or suggestions for the future. We’ll have some bonus content coming soon.

Happy Thanksgiving! Here’s our annual Thanksgiving playlist bonus episode with 10 songs that could go on your Thanksgiving mix. This year’s songs are all from the 1970s, of course, including tracks by The Kinks, Queen, Sparks, Steve and Eydie, The Ramones, and more.

Sorry for the delay on this feed. Please read ahead for info!
Happy Halloween! Mike’s Granny makes her Snow in Southtown debut to chat about ghost stories, demons, horror movies, and other spooky stuff. Thanks to everyone who has been checking out the Halloween content on the podcast and blog over the last two months. We’ll be starting our Christmas episodes next week!
Note: Throughout this year, we have been experiencing outages with the Internet Archive, which is where we’ve been hosting our podcast files for years. Therefore, we are re-opening our Patreon, where you can sign up for free and access all of our main episodes at no charge. The downside right now is that you can’t create a podcast RSS feed with the free membership; however, you can always stream our episodes through the Patreon app itself. We do have two new membership levels available for those who would like to support the show, receive bonus content (like our print zines and our music), and have an RSS feed to use in your podcast app. But a paid membership is not at all necessary to access our main podcast episodes.
We’re celebrating ’70s horror with one of the best, Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974). We also discuss what we’ve been watching as Halloween approaches, and we read some of the reviews for Hooper’s, a restaurant that occupies the original Texas Chain Saw Massacre house.
Note: We apologize for the occasional audio issues, a result of a recent internet fiber “upgrade.” We’ll do our best to improve this situation before Christmas episodes begin.
Happy October! Three years ago, we did an episode about Christmas horror, and at the end, Rusty told us a ghost story. We’ve uploaded it here in case you missed it or just want to hear it again. You might want to leave the lights on!
If you want to hear the entire episode, look for Season 3, Episode 7 (12/12/21).
We’ll be back with another Halloween bonus episode very soon before finally getting to our Christmas episodes!
