As this movie essentially serves as a remake of the classic and beloved 1983 film, “A Christmas Story“, lots of comparisons between the two films ensue – pitting the elves against one another. With Thom and Julia on one side of the divide, joined by Gerry D. in their dislike of “A Christmas Story“, that leaves Anthony and April on the other side of the divide, sticking up for “A Christmas Story” and insisting this modern day retelling will never come close to touching its greatness. The differing opinions make for a fun and interesting discussion, which you’ll just have to listen to in order to find out just how high or low this ’80s nostalgia fest ranks on our list!
