Happy Thanksgiving, Christmas Fanatics! Can you believe it’s Turkey day already? We certainly can’t! This year is flying by! But, we didn’t want to let this oft-overlooked holiday pass without expressing our gratitude to each and every one of you for all of the love and support you show our little show all year ’round!

As such, we present to you this special bonus episode in which Julia, Thom, and Anthony discuss the cult-classic, “Thankskilling“! Listen as the elves break down one of the worst, the cheapest, and most baffling movies they’ve covered since “Tis the Podcast” began! Is this a case of a film being “so bad it’s good”? Or is there nothing redeemable about this story of teenage stereotypes being hunted down by a bad muppet of a Turkey named Turkie? You’ll just have to tune in to find out! Because despite the subject matter, this is one hysterical episode you want to make sure not to miss!

So, tonight, after you’ve eaten more than your fair share of Thanksgiving dinner, put your feet up, unbutton those trousers, and enjoy this fun episode!

And, once again, Happy Thanksgiving, everybody! We hope your holiday was filled with love, happiness, gratitude, family, friends, food, drinks, parades, football, “Friends” episodes, and “Peanuts” holiday specials!

Happy Thanksgiving week, Christmas fanatics! We can’t believe November is always over! Now is the time of year we wish time would slow down a bit! Nevertheless, we are in the midst of the holiday season and we couldn’t be happier about that!

This week, Julia, Thom, and Anthony are joined by Jay Skipworth, of “Film Strip Podcast“, and April Ryley to discuss the highly anticipated legacy sequel to the universally beloved classic, “A Christmas Story” – HBO Max’s, “A Christmas Story Christmas“!

Is Ralphie Parker’s long awaited journey home worth it to fans of the original, Anthony, April, and Jay? Can adult Ralphie throw a more entertaining Christmas for his family than his father did in the eyes of Julia and Thom, who loathe the original film? And is this movie able to stand on its own while serving as a fitting tribute to Darren McGavin and his iconic “Old Man” character and while managing to avoid the pitfalls that entrap so many legacy sequels? All of this, and much more, is debated and answered by your hosts in this entertaining episode full of holiday cheer!

Also discussed this episode: Mastodon; Thanksgiving plans; what we’re all thankful for this year; Star vs. Angel tree toppers; and much, much more!

So, settle in with your favorite holiday beverage and enjoy this extraordinarily fun episode! And keep your eyes out, because this upcoming Thursday – Thanksgiving day itself! – you will find a full-length bonus episode waiting in your main feeds as a gift from us, to you, to express just how thankful we are for your love and support each and every day!

Happy Monday, Christmas Fanatics! And welcome to the second Monday of Spooky Month!

To mark the occasion – and mark the fact that all three hosts are back together for the first time in weeks! – Julia, Thom, and Anthony gather to discuss the number one Disney Plus debut ever, and long awaited sequel to the beloved 1993 classic, “Hocus Pocus 2“! That’s right! Not only are the elves finally back together, but so are the witches!

As will have been obvious to anybody listening to this show since it first started back in 2017, all three hosts are enormous fans of the original and have been extremely excited about this sequel since it was officially announced a few years ago! Did it live up to expectations? Well, is water wet? Listen as they gush about the long-awaited return of the Sanderson Sisters and their new, modern hijinks, and rave about the new cast and the direction that Anne Fletcher took the follow-up! Really, the only question is, does it rank as high as the first one for them? And does the movie stray too far into the territory of callbacks and fan service? You’ll just have to tune in to find out in this extremely fun episode filled with quotes, impressions, trivia, laughs, and much, much more! Also discussed: Julia’s recent business trip; Ellie’s adventures in private school; and the wedding of Anthony’s sister!

And if, like the elves, you can’t get enough talk about this “Hocus Pocus” sequel, consider subscribing to Patreon where two more episodes diving deep into the film with fans and guest hosts are already in the can to drop in the coming weeks, amongst a host of other Halloween-related bonus content!

Happy Wednesday, everybody!

Due to life getting in the way, we know you haven’t had a new episode from us in a few weeks. Don’t worry, though – that will be rectified next week in which a new episode will be in your podcast feeds Monday morning, per usual! Having said that, we wanted to make it up to you for missing the past few weeks! So, enjoy this special once-Patreon exclusive episode in which Gerry Davila, of “Totally Rad Christmas“, joins Anthony and Thom to geek out over the Rankin/Bass universe!

Despite the fact that two of the three guys love the classic stop-animation specials, even they can admit the fact that a lot of continuity errors between them would need to be addressed in order to make it one, coherent, interconnecting story. As such, the first half of the episode addresses some of the more glaring continuity issues and how they could possibly be fixed. As for the second half of the episode, the three pitch a live-action film universe/miniseries worth of remakes for a modern audience, which connects all of the specials with a more overarching plot line. The most fun part? Gerry, Anthony, and Thom discuss their dream casting for these hypothetical remakes!

So settle in with your favorite holiday beverage and enjoy this hilariously fun extravaganza, which is nothing less than a love letter to the iconic Rankin/Bass characters and stories! It’s one episode you definitely do not want to miss! 🎅🏻 🎄 🎁 🦌 ⛄️ 🦉 🔔 🚂 🤶🏻 ❄️ 🎀

*Note for Listeners – Some hard truths about Santa come up briefly in this episode, so you may want to listen without young children around!*

This week, travel to the midwest with the elves as they gather at Hoover International Airport to discuss the infamous 2006 film, “Unaccompanied Minors“! While Julia, Thom, and Anthony all come in rather close when it comes time to ranking this film, their opinions and mileage vary and span the spectrum! Who liked it the most? Who loathed it with every fiber of their being? And who didn’t like it but thought it stuck the ending which saved it somewhat? Tune in to find out!

Also in this episode: the hosts pay tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II, talk (and rant) about Disney, and discuss much, much more!

Happy Sunday, Christmas Fanatics!

As a special end of the weekend treat, please enjoy this Emergency Episode in which Julia, Thom, and Anthony gather to discuss two trailers dropped by Disney + this weekend – those for “Hocus Pocus 2“, a sequel 29 years in the making, and “The Santa Clauses“, the miniseries that will serve as the end of Tim Allen’s tenure as Santa Claus!

The elves have been looking forward to both highly anticipated projects since they were announced and have been excited to get sneak peeks at these legacy sequels. How did they feel about them? Well, one trailer went through the greatest hits and played heavy on the nostalgia associated with the original, while still making them curious and thrilled over the direction of this new chapter, while the other trailer left them wanting and very nervous for the finished project. Which elicited which feelings? You’ll just have to listen to find out!

So, settle back with your Pumpkin Spice Lattes, enjoy this special bonus episode, and let us know what you think of both trailers on our social media pages! And make sure to check your feeds tomorrow morning for your regularly scheduled weekly episode in which the elves cover the 2006 film, “Unaccompanied Minors“!
