What’s up, dudes? It’s the M3gan before it was popular. Yes, it’s a Small Wonder Christmas as Caleb Cote from Insert Reference Here, Alamo City Santa Jeremy Phelps, and I talk about the robot girl! It’s the 1988 episode “Here Today, Gone Tomorrow!”
After Ted makes a comment that he’s dead if his credit gets cut off after a few unpaid bills, Vicki types “Cut off credit – He’s dead!” into his bank account information on the computer. Ted tries to correct it at the bank, but they still don’t believe he’s alive even when standing in front of them. Consequently, he creates a plan to stage a fake funeral.
Meanwhile, Jamie tries to sell “Christmas tree seeds” to make money. He dresses up as Santa and has Vicki dress as a Christmas tree. They even play up their “sadness” at the fake passing of their dad to score some sympathy sales. In the end, Ted reveals himself as alive and regains his credit…and his life.
Online banking? Check. Nosy neighbors? Got ‘em. Christmas tree seeds? Christmas tree seeds?!?! So build your robot and program her to play this episode on a Small Wonder Christmas!

Yes, yes—we know. The Hallmark Channel dropped their brand-new Countdown to Christmas movie list days ago, and the entire internet has already screamed, swooned, or side-eyed their way through it. But here at the Christmas Cousins, we do things differently. Translation: we’re late.
But being late has its perks. Because while everyone else has had their say, only we bring you the one-of-a-kind, completely unpredictable reactions of Cousin Seth. Three seasons in, Seth is still wrapping his head around the fact that these movies exist—let alone that people (like Cousin Chad) plan their lives around them. Will he be excited? Confused? Weirdly passionate about a movie he’s never going to watch? Like his eggnog takes, there’s no telling what you’re gonna get.
So buckle up for our very belated, very necessary Hallmark movie list breakdown. Everyone else reacted already… but nobody did it with Cousin Seth energy. 🎄
