🎄 It’s 1983, and a young bear and fox are lost in the Big City after accidentally riding the rails on the apparently famous Christmas Tree Train in an obscure special that has little to do with Christmas trees or trains. Climb aboard as we explore the first holiday special starring Buttons and Rusty, known later as the Chucklewood Critters.

Chrismas Morning

Happy Christmas in July! I’m back from vacation and ready to count down the next 6 months to Christmas. We’re going to get things started by talking about a couple of book related things. I also recommend a new Christmas novel I came across recently that I really enjoyed.

Our story today is called “The Christmas Dream and How It Came True” by Louisa May Alcott. It’s a really sweet story about a young girl named Effie who learns a valuable lesson about giving. Is it more blessed to give than to recieve? Effie is about to find out.

Happy Christmas in July! To celebrate this unofficial holiday month, we are turning to nothing but classics in our quest to find some of the best holiday television episodes ever made.

This week, Matt discusses “The Honeymooners” for the first time on the podcast. Sounds of Christmas

Ken Kessler from the Sounds of Christmas revisits a topic from a previous episode –  Christmas songs from the last twenty years that they think are classics, or on their way to becoming classics (or, at least, worthy of being considered classics). This is in response to a growing number of posts and blogs over the last few years claiming that there isn’t any good Christmas music being made any more.  Last time, he talked to several hosts of Christmas-themed podcasts, This time, he talks to three singers who have released Christmas music recently – Suzanne from Suzanne’s Band, Linda Imperial and Dan Ashley. They also talk about their Christmas music plans for later this year!
