What’s up, dudes? It’s time for the New Kids On The Block’s Christmas album “Merry, Merry Christmas”! Kim Cooper and I talk NKOTB and their surprising lack of harmonies. There’s some fun covers and some quasi-rap originals! What a trip down nostalgia lane! So let’s have a funky, funky Christmas while missin’ you come Christmas!
What’s up, dudes? Sly and Whitzy from Bitch Watch Podcast join me to talk the Avengers…no, the Secret Wars…no! the Crisis on Infinite Earths of Christmas characters! It’s “Rudolph and Frosty’s Christmas in July!” There’s so much to talk about (and so many Lord of the Rings homages)! Winterbolt, the Morgoth-level threat? Check. Lady Boreal, the Valar-style being? Check. Oh yeah! There’s also a love-stricken ice cream man! Win-win! Dig it!

It’s Monday, which means it’s time for another episode of Tis the Podcast! This week, the elves are taking a trip across the pond (and back in time) to cover the Christmas episodes of one of Thom’s favorite tv shows, “The Vicar of Dibley” – a show that follows the townspeople of Dibley who reluctantly grow to accept and love Geraldine Granger as their local vicar. These episodes follow some tropes common to many holiday specials, but is the vicar able to add enough of a unique spin on them to win over the hearts of Julia and Anthony? How will a new Christmas carol from Dibley sit with the elves?
Cozy up next to the A/C vent or poolside with a nice mug of iced tea and enjoy!
And if you can’t get enough Christmas during the summer, be sure to check our Patreon (tisthepodcast.com/patreon) for more bonus content, PLUS the next installment of Anthony’s audiobook, “Another Christmas Story” – this week, read by Tim Babb of “Can’t Wait for Christmas” – which drops in your main feeds this upcoming Thursday!

Hello everyone! This episode was supposed to be out last week but due to Graduations and crazy life stuff it got delayed until today.
Today’s episode I talk about the book Christmas: A Biography, and then read you another story by Ellis Parker Butler.
In today’s story Joanne is home from school for the Christmas holidays. She’s hoping for a nice, relaxing rest but her next door neighbor and prankster Tommy Bassick might have something to say about that… Find out what happens to her on Christmas morning in this delightful and cozy Christmas story!
What’s up, dudes? We’re back! Ron Hogan from Film Strip Podcast joins me to talk the Canon Films classic “Invasion USA”! What?! You don’t think it’s a Christmas movie?!?! The shopping mall scene still slays! It’s Chuck Norris at his action hero finest! And yes! 911 calls Chuck Norris in an emergency! So sit back and enjoy this holiday action flick!

Just when you thought the podcast was improving I go and break my microphone, so girls and boys we’re back to poor quality sound.
Add that to the poor content and it’s a killer combination that everyone is talking about.
Anyway, it’s an episode so at least there’s that.
First up we have Robin Sings and the songstress has been busy in the playground at school creating a new version of Jingle Bells Batman Smells. Should a 5 year old really be sprouting this filth? The answer is NO!
I blame the parents.
Then we take a trip to Greece and look at the legend of the Kalikanzaroi, little goblin type creatures that create havoc during the twelve days of Christmas.
Then we have a 3rd joke from Benji Pearson our American Scandinavian correspondent. Will this episode’s joke match the high quality of the previous two?
Not likely.
Then thanks to our listener Julie we take a look at A Diva’s Christmas Carol. This modern take on the classic exchanges Ebeneezer for Ebony Scrooge and it stars Vanessa William.

Happy Monday, Christmas Fanatics! And Happy Memorial Day to all of our American listeners! We hope you’re having a great long weekend! Can you believe we’re already at the end of May?
This week, join Julia, Thom, and Anthony as they catch up with beleaguered, former NYPD officer, John McClane, as he takes on a bunch of terrorists at a snowy airport on Christmas Eve in 1990’s “Die Hard 2″! While the original “Die Hard” is a constant subject of debate regarding whether or not it’s a Christmas movie, the elves felt its immediate follow-up undeservedly gets lost in the conversation! How does this compare to the first in terms of holiday feelings? Should this be considered more of a Christmas staple than its predecessor? Our hosts discuss all of this and much, much, much more in this extremely fun, quote-filled episode that will immediately transport you back to the ’80s.
So blast that air-conditioning to simulate those ‘Ber month temperatures, settle back with your favorite summer drink, and enjoy, y’all! And keep your eyes on your feeds this upcoming Thursday for the next installment of “Another Christmas Story” – Chapter Eighteen, which will be read to you by the amazing Charlyn Lewis of “Fashion Speaks“!

Happy June and that means this is the month of graduation! For the first time we are tackling “Saved By The Bell” for an episode of the podcast.
This week, Matt talks about what the show itself means to him, how Saved By The Bell always had some sort of plot hole and why this very well may be a perfect episode of the long-running teen series. Matt also talks about what is coming later this month in the form of a bonus episode and what fun stuff is planned for the month of July – where the podcast will have a new episode each week!

Ken Kessler from the Sounds of Christmas talks to collector and friend of the station Drew Flowers. Drew is terrific at helping to keep Christmas Spirit alive all year long. He helps to moderate several Christmas groups on Facebook, and collects rare (and not-so-rare) Christmas music, movies and television specials. Ken and Drew talk about their love, and obsession, with collecting, and some of the hard-to-find items that are in danger of being forgotten. They also talk about Halloween groups on Facebook, and what makes some songs Halloween songs.
Note: In a few brief instances, Drew’s connection is slightly garbled, but it is quickly resolved.

Our annual anniversaries episode of the Merry Little Podcast celebrates Christmas Cowboys and several iconic elements of the season celebrating a Christmas birthday of sorts.
Our friend Glen Warren of the Seasons Eatings Podcast sets down his ladle for a look into the legend and life of Gene Autry, the original crooner of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and author of a variety of legendary Christmas hits.
This episode also celebrates the 75th anniversary of both The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole and It’s a Wonderful Life. What would Christmas be without them?
Other milestones enjoying a Christmas birthday this year are Christmas albums from Elvis and Kenny Rogers and – can you believe it? – it’s the 10th year anniversary Michael Buble’s Christmas.
