What’s up, dudes? So you want to be a cop? All you do is join the farce. Laramy Wells from Moving Panels and Vinnie Brezinsky from Huey and Bax have signed up to join the “Police Academy!”
After thwarting the Santa Claus burglar–so called because he breaks in through the chimney–the Police Academy squad run into a little orphan girl named Ginny. She asks Carey Mahoney and his gang to help her friends believe in Santa Claus since the orphans never get any presents. Simultaneously, there’s a robbery at I. Gottem’s department store. Ginny even gets a look at the thieves.
Mahoney and Jones decide to dress up as Santa for the kids not realizing their team also decides to dress up. Unfortunately, they’re called to guard the department store. While the orphans are at the store, they’re framed for the theft of diamonds. The cadets prove their innocence and catch the actual thieves.
Jones sound effects? Got ’em. Tackleberry extreme firearms? Yep, a bazooka. Reindogs? Well, only as Commandant Lassard can provide! So grab your Santa suit, hide inside a snowman, and arrest this episode on Police Academy “Santa with a Badge!”

For this episode, our journey unfolds under warm African skies and rolling green hills, as we venture out of the lingering winter cold and into the famous mountains of Volcanoes National Park. Instead of tinsel and lights, we are surrounded by dormant volcanoes, dense rainforest, and bamboo groves. This is the land where Dian Fossey lived for 18 years, studying and protecting the mountain gorillas. The Festive Fans are in Rwanda, the land of Gorillas in the Mist.
The same mist that once cloaked Fossey’s research camps still lingers, softening and blurring the line between past and present. Rwanda’s story is powerful because of its remarkable success over the past three decades. It is currently one of Africa’s fastest-growing and most forward-looking countries. Rwanda has found a way to embrace both its amazing natural heritage and the profound human tragedy that occurred there.
In the aftermath of the 1994 genocide, the country faced incredible challenges, including a devastated infrastructure, deep social divisions, and a shattered economy. Yet Rwanda has deliberately worked to redefine its global image, from one defined by tragedy in the past to one associated with unity and possibility for the future.
Overall, Rwanda offers a different perspective on the Christmas holiday—one with less emphasis on lights, trees, and shopping, and more on simple acts of faith and gratitude. The atmosphere is festive but modest. It’s less about spectacle and more about meaning, making it a powerful reminder of what the season represents at its core.
Rwanda is a leader in environmental conservation, where plastic bags are banned, communities participate in monthly clean-up days (Umuganda), and conservation of landscapes like Volcanoes National Park is a national priority. This commitment to conservation, sustainability, and stewardship mirrors how Christmas is celebrated across the country. There is an emphasis on simplicity, shared meals, and gathering.
Rwanda’s Christmas is not just a religious or cultural event, but also an expression of the country’s philosophy that caring for one another and caring for the natural world can be deeply intertwined. In this way, its famous mountain gorillas are woven into this deeper Yuletide message that care, respect, and coexistence — amongst people, nature, and the animal kingdom — are at the heart of what truly makes the season meaningful.

What’s up, dudes? The Saturday Morning Mafia breaks down the Knight Rider Christmas episode “Silent Knight” with me! It’s all about the Hoff and K.I.T.T. in one of the coolest shows of the decade!
While shopping for a Christmas tuxedo for the Foundation banquet, Michael and KITT meet Tino, a young gypsy who has pickpocketed a valuable watch from bank robbers. These robbers, disguised as clowns and Santa Claus, need the watch back to destroy evidence of their crime. Michael promises Tino’s sister Marta that he will keep the boy safe and deliver him to their uncle, Stephano, the king of the gypsies. The bank robbers, however, are on their trail, fearing identification.
Unfortunately, the uncle isn’t the savior Tino was hoping for, and he sells him out to the robbers. After thrilling car chases, Michael and K.I.T.T. track them to a field, where luckily K.I.T.T. is able to stop a thresher from harming them. The robbers are apprehended and the day is saved! Merry Christmas!
Whoa! Michael Knight had a whole backstory? K.I.T.T. could do what?!? How many times do they say the word ‘gypsy’? Hmmm…. So grab your leather jacket, hop in your AI car, and turbo boost into this episode on Knight Rider “Silent Knight!”

Last epsisode I told the story of shame about my Christmas jumer that was too small, but this episode we have a happy ending where a lovely listener gets to win it.
Then I talk about a Christmas Not So Classic, it’s from the very rude British comedian Roy Chubby Brown, it’s called Rockin’ Good Christmas and it’s naff.
Have a listen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCc7AoLQzzs
Last episode I mentioned the phrase ‘Bob’s your uncle’ and briefly explained, well this episode Bob Baker has actually done some proper research into it in Do You Hear What I Hear?
Then it’s The Christmas Quiz, I scored a respectable 8, make sure you email in your score.
Next up Bob is back and this time he’s looking at Canada in Where Are You Christmas?
Check out Bob’s podcast here: https://4fpodcast.buzzsprout.com
In the last episode I explained why the 1951 version of A Christmas Carol starring Alistair Sim was rubbish, this time I explain why it’s fantastic. If you’ve never seen it, shame on you, but here’s a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knpvLR879fw
This episodes recommendation is Welcome To The Neighbourhood with Jayde Adams, a BBC Radio 4 show that is very funny. Have a search for it, it’s worth a listen.
