Season’s Eatings – Pizzelle

Sometimes covered with powdered sugar, or rolled into a cone, it’s a cookie that dates back centuries and is argued to be the oldest Christmas cookie.  It’s a story filled with snakes, forging blacksmiths, and wagon repair.  This is the history of the crispy thin cookie: the pizzelle.
