When Ben Mears comes back to Jerusalem’s Lot, he intends to research and write about the old Marsten House. He befriends a young college girl named Susan, and begins a relationship with her. Meanwhile, the house is bought by antiquities dealers Kurt Barlow and Richard Straker. Spoiler alert: Barlow’s a master vampire and Straker’s his familiar.
The town’s denizens slowly begin disappearing, falling ill, and dying. As it turns out, Barlow’s been transforming the Glick boys and others into vampires. Mears, Susan, and a few others, including a doctor, a teacher, and young boy named Danny, begin to fight back. After Fr. Callahan fails his crisis of faith and leaves, and after Susan is transformed and slain, the rest eventually kill Barlow and Straker. They set the town on fire, too.
Creepy old haunted house? Check. Creepy old antique shop? Uh huh. Creepy old blue skinned vampire with rat teeth? Only if it’s a poor makeup job! So grab your stakes, fill up vials with holy water, and hunt during the daylight with this episode on “Salem’s Lot!”

It’s that time again, Christmas Cousins! Cousin Chad is practically doing cartwheels with jingle bells on, while Cousin Seth is having an existential crisis, realizing just how many Hallmark Christmas movies he’s about to endure—err, enjoy this season.

Will the “Chamberlain Family Christmas Olympics” fuel a yuletide romance between Jessie and Bryan, or will too many snowball fights and wrapping paper disasters send the whole family straight to the naughty list?
Tune in for our fun, irreverent take on this holiday flick as we rate, review, and share our favorite (and not-so-favorite) moments!

Welcome back! As we inch closer to Halloween we are here this week talking about Roseanne! Known for its Halloween episodes, does this one pass the test? Tune in to find out!
Greetings boils and ghouls! Home For The Horrordays continues this week as we bring you a Stocking Stuffer on the Tales from the Crypt episode “And All Through the House”!
Based on the 1950s horror comics of the same name, Tales from the Crypt ran for seven seasons on HBO, and featured some of the biggest names in action and horror at the time. The episode we’re discussing tonight comes from Back to the Future director Robert Zemeckis!
After killing her husband on Christmas Eve, murderous mom Elizabeth is besieged by a deranged serial killer dressed up as Santa Claus. She can’t call the cops, because there’s already a dead body in the house, so she’ll just have to deal with it herself! It’s a gruesome, gag-filled good time.

In today’s episode, I share another fun recipe suitable for fall, talk a little bit about the Cozy Christmas Book Club, then I read Robert McCormick’s article that was written for Charles Dickens’ magazine Household Words in December of 1850. Dickens himself probably wrote the introduction and conclusion of the article, but McCormick reflects on his experiences of celebrating Christmas in Anarctica during a naval exploration he was involved with. It’s a fascinating look at how people can find Christmas cheer no matter where they may find themselves!

What’s up, dudes? The Baby-Sitters’ holiday party promises to be the best ever! But why isn’t Stacey sharing in all of the fun? Danielle Clarke of No More Late Fees and I find out why this is truly a special Christmas for the Baby-sitters Club! Yes, it’s the 1990-91 “Baby-Sitters Special Christmas!”
The Baby-Sitters have a lot to do. There’s shopping for secret Santas, planning the hospital Christmas party, and attending to their regular sitting duties. Unfortunately, Stacey has to manage her diabetes as well. Quite frankly, it’s a monumental talk during the sweet-filled holiday season, and she doesn’t do a great job.
Meanwhile, Kristy works around the house to earn a commercial grade baseball glove. Claudia and the other girls begin to decorate for the annual Christmas party. Cue the usual ‘kid who hates Christmas’ bit. In this case, it’s a boy with a broken leg whose parents are constantly working. Rather dramatically, Stacey lets her blood sugar spike, Dawn reprimands her, and Kristy gives her brand new mitt to the boy. At least they all sing “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.”
Rambunctious children? Yep, little Pete from Pete & Pete. Near death experience. Uh huh, poor Stacey. Scooby Doo-like coincidental Secret Santa run in? Definitely! So grab your bath mask, hide behind a yellow hat, and dig this episode on “The Baby-Sitters Special Christmas!”
