 What’s up, dudes? It’s the 250th episode! So, we’ll open up Rad Santa’s Mail Fanny Pack and answer some listener questions! Then special guest Danny Davila and I dive into the Christmas-adjacent movie “Funny Farm!” Starring Chevy Chase and Madolyn Smith, it’s a squirrel out of water story! Er…fish out of water!

Andy and Elizabeth Farmer leave the big city to live in the quaint little town of Red Bud. Andy has aspirations to be a novelist. Misadventures ensue! First, their movers get lost and arrive late. Then the Farmers discover a dead body in their garden. Snakes, runaway dogs, and angry fishing buddies soon after threaten their idyllic dream. Elizabeth writes and publishes a children’s book giving Andy feelings of resentment and failure. Friction between the couple inevitably ensues. When Andy, in a moment of desperation, submits Elizabeth’s manuscript as his own to his publisher, she leaves him. The couple bribe the town to help them sell their house at Christmas time. However, Andy and Elizabeth fall in love with the town and each other when they see how beautiful and friendly the town can actually be.

Ducks? Yep. Kitchen payphones? Got ’em. Lamb fries? Only if a record can be broken! So grab your yellow dog, climb into your runaway mail truck, and listen to this episode on “Funny Farm!”

Welcome to episode 110 of Holly Jolly X’masu! In this episode, I talk about the children’s book and album, “Superman Santa,” from 1986.

I hope you enjoyed “Superman Santa.” While I would have loved a Casiopeia Christmas album, this was still a lot fun. It has an amusing premise and enjoyable music, and the book really adds to the experience. I’ll post the pictures below.

Up first is the 2004 compilation, “Christmas For Anyone?” It has an interesting blend of jazzy tunes and a cover that has to be seen to be believed. Episode 22: Skenbart (Sweden)

In today’s episode, we enjoy Skenbart or “IIlusive Tracks” a black and white Swedish film set in 1945. It is a comedy, thriller, drama and love story, all wrapped up in one, along with those common elements you expect in a Christmas film – murder, adultery, and violence.  Plus, if you can believe it, it’s really, really funny.  Join the boys are we travel with the hopelessly idealistic Gunnar, a failed author who quit his job to escape on a train for Berlin.  He sees excitement and opportunity and wants to rebuild the city after World War II, but instead leaves chaos in his wake.

On the train leaving from Stockholm is an eccentric crew – a Catholic doctor who wants to kill his wife, a gay man who hates men, a hapless soldier on the wrong train, and some hard-drinking nuns with religious doubts and a motley group of Baltic refugees.  Now this is a holiday party!

Even with the hilarity, Mark and Bob still find time to celebrate a true Swedish Christmas, with an authentic smorgasbord washed down with a couple mugs of Julmust.  They also set a giant straw Yule goat on fire and enjoy their annual viewing of Kalle Anka och hans vänner önskar God Jul, all while waiting for Jultomten to arrive.  To top it off, they swing to the silken tones of the dashing former model and Eurovision winner Måns Zelmerlöw and his 2010 cover of “Tomten, jag vill ha en riktig jul”.  With all this laughter, adventure, and generosity, can it get any more festive, fans?

‘80s Wrestling pt3 (w/ The Wrestling Bros)

What’s up, dudes? It’s all about WWF Prime Time Wrestling Christmas 1986, battle royale style with Jeremy Phelps the Alamo City Santa,  CM Chuck from Just Another Friday Night, Joe from Now Watch This, Manny from Feliz Christmas, Merry Navidad, and CJ from Christmas Sessions! We talk Bobby the Brain and Gorilla! We dive into Hogan and Savage! We body slam Junkyard Dog and Harley Race! This episode has it all!

Airing December 23, 1986, the matches begin with Jimmy Jack Funk taking on Blackjack Mulligan, who defeats Funk with little effort. Iron Mike Sharpe batted Special Delivery Jones—no, not S.D. Kluger from “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town! Jones takes Sharpe with an atomic drop. “What a Christmas present for S.D. Jones!”

Meanwhile Bobby and Gorilla argue about presents. Means Gene spoke with Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat and Jesse Ventura interviewed Andre the Giant. Harley Race defeated Pedro Morales and retained his crown. Subsequently, Dick The Rebel Slater stuns Steve Lombardi with a suplex. As well, Dino Bravo beat Corporal Kirchner.

Junkyard Dog rammed Adrian Adonis into a turnbuckle to get out of a sleeper. Both men are tossed out of the ring, but JD gets back in before the count and wins! Finally, World Heavyweight Champion Hulk Hogan collided with the monstrous Hercules Hernandez. Hogan, seemingly in trouble, comes back off the ropes with a leg drop to pin and win!

Stuffed gorilla gifts? Yep. Gold phone presents? Uh huh. Blackjack Mulligan’s wagon of fertilizer?!?! What?!?? So grab your belt, get on the ropes, and backflip to this episode on Prime Time Wrestling Christmas 1986!
