Happy Thursday, Christmas fanatics! Welcome to the seventeenth official installment of “Another Christmas Story“!
This week, published author, Nicole Little, will read to all of you Chapter Sixteen of our tale, entitled “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus”. Within this chapter, we switch back to the perspectives of Joey and Mary as they slowly begin to get reacquainted with one another as they visit the winter wonderland that is Macy’s Herald Square!
We hope you like it! If you do, make sure to share this episode and our website, upon which the text of this installment is posted, to get it in front of as many eyes as possible! Make sure to check your podcast feeds for your regular weekly episode on Monday, in which the elves cover the 2019 parody (?) movie, “A Christmas Movie Christmas”, and next Thursday for the seventeenth official chapter of this story – “Chapter Seventeen: (It Must’ve Been Ol’) Santa Claus”, which listener, Seamus McLean, will be reading to you! In it, we switch back to the points of view of Aaron Rankin as he meets Santa Claus at Macy’s Herald Square!

We’re at the emotional one hour mark of the movie! Santa strips Patch of the elf’s assistant duties and hands the official apron off to Puffy. Patch then heads to his room in the reindeer stable to gather his things as he prepares to leave the North Pole. Plus: A clever callback! Menacing music! The book adds some more context for this Minute! And we take a detour to come up with a pitch for a Santa Claus Netflix series!

The three previous Merry Melees winners return to decide who will be the first-ever Merry Melee Champion. Tim Babb of Can’t Wait For Christmas, Thom of Tis The Podcast, and Brian of Yuletide TV battle wits and answer questions like “Which Expendables cast member should start starring in Hallmark Christmas Movies?” or pitch ideas for a Santa Claus origin story. Our fighters are judged by Alonso Duralde of Linoleum Knife, Advent Calendar House host Mike Westfall, and Tis The Podcast co-host Anthony Caruso.

Happy Monday, Christmas aficionados! This week, join Julia, Thom, and Anthony as they journey back to the wonderful world of Rankin/Bass to discuss the 1975 holiday special, “The First Christmas: The Story of the First Christmas Snow”! Can the incomparable Angela Lansbury not only save this special for the podcast’s Rankin/Bass skeptics and – dare-we-say – actually make this production an enjoyable experience for them? Or, like so many of the stop-motion-animated specials before it, does this one not elicit any Christmas feels from our hosts? The only way to find out is by settling in and listening to this fun, episode!
Enjoy, y’all! And keep your eyes on your feeds this upcoming Thursday for the next installment of “Another Christmas Story” – Chapter Sixteen, which will be read to you by the incredible writer, Nicole Little!

Happy Monday, Christmas fanatics! This week, the elves journey back to the wonderful world of Disney to cover the 1997, straight to VHS, animated midquel, “Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas”!
Does the midquel conceit work better than Disney’s other straight to home video sequels they did in the ’90s, or does it ruin the charm of the original 1991 masterpiece? And while Anthony has a lot of nostalgia wrapped up in this one, Thom and Julia don’t, so how does it play for them? Either way, one thing’s for sure, there’s a lot of love for this film amongst the listeners of “Tis the Podcast” – will the elves, once again, disappoint them with their ultimate rating? Find out in this fun episode where, regardless of where the elves fall on this movie, their love for Disney is evident!
Enjoy, y’all! And keep your eyes on your feeds this upcoming Thursday for the next installment of “Another Christmas Story” – Chapter Fifteen, which will be read to you by listener Michelle Kidwell of the “Horribly Genius“ podcast!

Here we go again, it’s another “wonderful” episode.
We’ve got loads of the usual stuff.
First up it’s Robin Sings and the girls have their first song request. Thanks to our lovely listener Nancy, they’ll be singing ‘I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas’.
It’s the return of my favourite segment when Jay La Chapelle from Jingle Jank podcast tells us a great Christmas Story of Shame. Checkout Jingle Jank here: jinglejank.com
This episode’s version of A Christmas Carol is a right pile of pants, but it does star the voice of Tim Curry as Scrooge. If you want to watch it, it’s on Youtube, here’s a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a0ZJIFEb3A0&t=3384s
Then it’s the return of the Yule Lads, well actually it’s their pet, the Yule Cat. Find out why you better get some new clothes for Christmas.

What’s up, dudes? Charlyn Lewis from the Fashion Speaks podcast and I put on our leg warmers and shutter shades and get into mid-’80s fashions! We cover it all, from Tina Turner’s leopard print attire to peplum dresses to all the neon! I think we wore all of the clothes in the ’80s. Remember parachute pants? Better grab your moon boots and listen in! Check it!
