Apart from the Christmas tree itself, this single item of vegetation dominates the British Christmas. These tiny green balls of misery/delight are the single most controversial course on any Christmas dinner table. You can even find chocolates wrapped in green foil in case you didn’t want to dole them out during the holiday dinner. They’re a vegetable high in vitamins and fibre, but low in calories. We’re exploring the history and origins of Brussels sprouts.
