Ken from the Sounds of Christmas is joined by Rikki from the Sleighbells and Mistletoe Christmas podcast, Gerry from the Totally Rad Christmas podcast and Scott from the Holly Jolly X’masu podcast to talk about secret Christmas songs. Well, sort of. They’re talking about Christmas songs they know of by well-known (or semi-well-known) singers, bands and celebrities that they think hardly anyone else knows about!
In the summery 47th episode of Merry Britsmas, I take a look at a festive episode of strange sitcom Mandy, listen to a ever-so-slightly summery folksy Xmas record from The Boy Least Likely To, and continue to run down the BIG CHRISTMAS NUMBER ONE SHOWDOWN! Happy Monday, Christmas Fanatics! As of today, we are officially closer to Christmas 2023 than we are to Christmas 2022! How exciting is that?
To kick off your day, and make the start of your week just a little bit brighter, Julia and Anthony (sans Thom, who was dealing with a power outage) hop across the pond in this episode to cover the animated, 2016 British TV special, “Stick Man” – based on Julia Donaldson’s 2008 children’s story of the same name!
Animated British Holiday Specials have been hit-or-miss for the elves – especially for Anthony and Thom – so how does this one compare to “The Snowman” and “Father Christmas” for our hosts? You’ll just have to tune in to find out!
Also discussed this episode: Julia’s recent trip to Disney World, movies that Anthony’s seen recently, all of the upcoming content coming up on the show, and all of the “Countdown to the Ber Months” milestones that we’ll be hitting over the coming weeks – amongst much, much more!
This is one festive episode you want to be sure not to miss! So settle back and enjoy! And, as always, thanks for all of your love and support! ❤️ 🎅🏻🎄🎁 🦌🦉⛄️🔔🚂 🤶🏻 🎀 ❄️

It’s the second episode of Festive Foreign Film Fans. We have shortened the name to “4F” which is an acronym that we only divulge to our closest friends. Shhh! This show we travel to one of the few Asian countries that celebrates Christmas as a national holiday — South Korea! Bob and Mark first discuss the Christmas disaster thriller film The Tower, than embarrass their listeners by trying to understand and explain newfound Korean traditions they’ve only just researched online. They do also enjoy a vigorous music interlude of K-pop holiday merriment with the Twice song “Merry & Happy”. We strive to give you a few interesting facts, but also to bridge that physical and cultural distance that separates us from our shared global Christmas experience. And we are just the mediocre guys to do it!
4F Test:Festive = (Bob says yes, but Mark disagrees); Feel = (It’s an emotional rollercoaster); Future = (Not so much); Fan = (Not for Christmas, but as a thriller)
Welcome back and Happy Leon Day! It is hard to believe we have hit the halfway point until Christmas! With that, we are turning to a modern classic and discussing the one and only Christmas episode of Ted Lasso!
Matt explains why it took him a bit to get into the show, what he thinks of the series as a whole and, as always, determines whether or not this should be deemed a holiday classic! Come give it a listen!
